William A. Mazzucco, 71, was the beloved husband of 45 years to Dolores A. (Prior) Mazzucco.

Born in New Haven, CT, the son of the late William and Angelina (Riccitelli) Mazzucco, he had been a Wallingford resident for many years, resided in Chatham, Massachusetts for several years and was a winter resident of Fort Lauderdale, Florida for the past 16 years. Bill was a graduate of Notre Dame High School class of 1954, and received both his Bachelors and Masters degrees from Southern Connecticut State University. He received his 6th year certificate from the University of Connecticut. He was employed by the Meriden Board of Education and taught math and science at Lincoln Middle School for many years until his retirement in 1991. Bill was also employed by Mountainside Special Events in Wallingford for over 25 years. He was a member of The Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America and sang with Milligan's Brigade quartet. He was a member of St Anthony's Church choir in Fort Lauderdale, a member of the Benevolent and Protective order of Elks, Lodge 1365 of Wallingford, a past president of the Yalesville PTO and a member of the Ferndocs.

Bill had many interests including gardening, fishing, hunting, golfing, and clamming. He was a master clam opener and opened clams at many church bazaars and won several clam opening contest in Connecticut and on Cape Cod. He enjoyed preparing and sharing the fruits of his labor, and being with his many friends and family, especially his grandchildren.

Besides his wife Dolores, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law William A. Mazzucco, Jr. and Miriam Mazzucco of Wallingford, son John Mazzucco of Southington, daughters and sons-in-law Diane and Richard Gibson and Linda and Richard Heidgerd, all of Wallingford; and his 12 loving grandchildren, Justin, Stephanie, Alyssa, Stephanie, Ginamarie, John, Emily, Kathryn, Anthony, Aeron, Ethan, and Austyn; his two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lucille and Michael Novella and Gloria and Ronald Iadarola all of Orange; his aunts, uncles, cousins and his buddy Kim.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in Most Holy Trinity Church.
