June Elizabeth Smith died at the Windy Hill Village, Philipsburg.

Parents: Herman B. and Flora E. Knisley Baxter.

1st husband: B. Dale Curtis, died in 1952.

2nd husband: Albert C. Smith, died Nov. 6, 1997.

June graduated from Thorton-Fractional Township High School in Hammond, IN. She attended Mountaintop Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. Her resume included: newspaper reporter, court reporter, State Employee and artist. Her hobbies were sewing, cooking, baking and her church.

Relatives: a son, Gary D. Curtis; three daughters, Sherry Jean Reasner, Gayle Ellen Curtis and Candice June Clark; three sisters, Marge Baxter Baker, Cleo J. Reel and Betty Ruth Spanos; a brother, Herman B. Baxter, Jr.; nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Arrangements: Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, Milesburg.

On March 31, 2007, there was a memorial service for her at Mountaintop Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, and both her and her husband Al's ashes were scattered in the mountains.
