Son of Abslom Riley Hatfield, Sr. and Laura J. Miles.
Divorced after a horrible marriage-per Missy Hatfield-Cooke. After Betty had an affair, he almost beat her to death. Family told him not only to leave the area, but the state. He moved to Michigan, where he became a Mason. Second marriage marriage was to Joan Swanson in 1960 in Brevard, FL. He later adopted Joan's 2 children, Laura & Patrick, so when he passed they would have benefits (Per Missy Hatfield-Cooke). Their marriage didn't last a year, divorced Apr 1961.
