Man Fatally Injured While Riding Range

CLIFTON, Jan. 31. - O. O. McDowell (Olgie), aged 30, son of W. J. McDowell, merchant so resides and has his place of business in Hill's addition, was mortally injured, when on Thursday afternoon, in the act of jumping from a pitching horse, the animal kicked him in the right side, breaking a rib which punctured the liver. The injured man was brought to the hospital I Clifton where an operation failed to save his life, and after lingering for seven hours died at 2 a.m. Friday.

Wedding Bells -

At the home of Mr. and Mrs. P. M. George on Saturday evening last occurred the wedding of Olgie O. McDowell and Miss Yslina Hunter. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. P. M. George and is a favorite among her many friends. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Gordon.

Yslina McDowell has this week filed her petition for a decree of divorce from her husband, Olgie O. McDowell on the ground of desertion and non-support. She also asks for the sole custody of her two minor children, Pliny Edison and Koen Wesley and that she be granted permission to resume her maiden name of Hunter. C. Hooker is the attorney for petitioner.

Further research shows Koen Wesley McDowell died in Pinal County in 1921 while Pliny Edison McDowell's name was changed to Pliny Edison George - FAG #114439355.
