George Arthur Ormsby, 84, was born Feb. 22, 1929, in Blanca, Colo., the son of Guy and Adelaide Ormsby. He died April 8, 2013, at his home in Buffalo.
He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1946 to 1949. He was stationed in Italy and stateside.
He met and married Rosemary Bachman in Berrien Spring, Mich. They moved to Missouri in 1970 where he began his own upholstery business.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rosemary; and a sister.
Survivors include his son, George Allen Ormsby; two daughters: Mary Wright and Peggy McKenzie; his grandchildren: Angela Ormsby, Derik Wright, Natasha Wright, Cheyenne Wright, Kathe McGinnis and Scott McKenzie; and his brother, Larry Ormsby and Betty Eichenberg.
