The birth year on his tombstone is inaccurate.

Mr. W. W. Ralston Dead.
Mr. Wall Ralston died at his residence one mile northeast of Valdosta, on Wednesday morning last, of consumption. His remains were buried by the side of his father and his mother in our cemetery on Thursday in the presence of a large number of sorrowing friends and relatives.

Mr. Ralston was raised in Valdosta and had a host of friends here. He had been suffering with the dread disease of which he died for several years, and he had been confined to his room about a month. He was kind, genial warm hearted. He leaves a widowed sister, Mrs. Jennie Cook, wo was with him during his last illness, and two brothers in Texas.

Peace to his ashes. The tenderest sympathies of our entire community go out the afflicted sister, who followed him like a guardian angel from his boyhood to his grave.
