Jocelyn passed away peacefully May 16, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 11, 1933 in Rockland, Maine.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, travel, and cooking. She was an active member of Willoughby United Methodist Church where she started a prayer shawl ministry. Her greatest enjoyment was taking care of her family and spending time with her five grandsons.
Survivors include her children, Jana Abplanalp, Jill (Gary) Smith, Jolene (Tony) Gray, Jay (Joyce) Abplanalp, and Joni (Dale Riemer) Abplanalp; grandsons, Nathan (Amber Hull) Damm, Jay (Heather) Abplanalp II, Jordan Abplanalp, and Corbin and Dylan Gray.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, James W. Abplanalp; son, James W. Abplanalp Jr. Her parents, Richard H. and Minerva O. Frost are also deceased.
Final resting place will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Twp.
Family suggests in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Alzheimers Association , 23215 Commerce Park, Beachwood, OH 44122.
