Arcadia – Funeral services will be held for Martha Gantt Calhoun, age 71, at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, May 19, 2017 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Arcadia. Bro. Howard Cole and Bro. Tony Smith will officiate. Interment will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Martha was born September 5, 1945, to Isaac and Mildred Dobbins Gantt. She passed away on Monday, May 15, 2017, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Martha was a member of Bryceland Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents Isaac and Mildred Gantt, siblings, Charles Gantt, Thomas Gantt, Marion Cole, Richard Gantt, and Jean DeLoach, and by nephews Wayne Gantt, Tommy Gantt and Doug Crawford, Jr.
Martha is survived by her husband of 53 years, Roy Calhoun, children; Steve Calhoun and wife Marlene, Victory C. Donaldson, John Calhoun and wife Renae and Kristy Calhoun, grandchildren; Steven Calhoun, Jr., Marc Calhoun, Michael Adkins and wife Jordan, Haley Bayles, Miranda Dean and husband Jonathan, Johnathon Calhoun, Brittany Dees, Bradley Calhoun, Robert Stevens, Jr. and wife Lacey and Madalyn Stevens, great grandchildren; Kyndle Calhoun, Addyson and Brennan Stevens, Anna Perritt and Kyleigh Calhoun, brothers David Gantt and Phillip Gantt, and by numerous other nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
