Fred was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister, and a number of infant siblings; his parents, his wife, Mayme, and one daughter, Georgie Corinne.
He is survived by his wife, Blanche, his children, Freddy and Joyce, Lee and Kathy, Linda and Bob, and by Blanche's children, Peggy, Karen, Rick and Larry; by his 10 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren, and by Blanche's eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Fred was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a fine Christian man and a soul winner. Fred was a prayer warrior and when he prayed many of his prayers were answered. He was a Deacon for many years at Allendale Baptist Church in Houston, Texas, and more than 36 years at McMahan Baptist Church. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Yellville, Ark., until his death. He taught Sunday School to 9 and 10 year old boys for over 30 years. He had the privilege of leading most of those boys to the Lord.
Fred had a sense of humor and loved to tell stories and laugh at himself. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and always included his family. He was so special to many people and will be greatly missed.
The visitation was held at Eeds Funeral Home, 408 South Main Street, Lockhart, Texas 78644, on Feb. 3, 2007, from noon - 1 p.m. The funeral followed immediately after the visitation, starting at 1 p.m. Burial followed at the Bateman Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Fred's grandsons, Lonnie Bell, Donnie Bell, Tommy Bell, Johnny Bell, Brian Bell, Michael Annas and Mark Annas. Honorary pallbearers were Blanche's grandson, David Rivera and the deacons from McMahan Baptist Church.
