Thurman Paul Biddison

San Marcos— Thurman Paul Biddison, 89, a resident of San Marcos and formerly of Wimberley, passed away Jan. 30, 2007. He was born July 15, 1917, in Perry, Iowa, to Thurman and Ada Mae (Waggoner) Biddison.
He graduated from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1943 and became a pharmacist.
During the war period he operated the pharmacy that supplied the Fort Riley out-patient clinic. Thurman was quite successful and owned three drug stores in California, but because of his hearing loss, he was forced to sell his businesses and retire.
His first wife, Carol Amos Biddison, passed away in 1993. On May 25, 1995, Thurman married Lela Mae French Richey.
Jesus has been a big part of Thurman?s life. He was active in the church choir at Rio Hondo for many years. While he lived in Wimberley he was an active deacon at the Wimberley First Baptist Church. Thurman was faithful in reading his Bible daily. He was a member of the Masons for over 60 years and was also a proud member of the American Legion.
Thurman is survived by his wife Lela Mae Biddison; half-brother Dr. Robert Biddison; nephews Danny and his wife Cynthia, Mark and his wife Delores; and brother-in-law Phillip Norris.
Visitation will be held today from 4 to 7 p.m. at Thomason Funeral Home in Wimberley. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 2 in the Chapel of Thomason Funeral Home. Burial to follow in the Wimberley cemetery.
