Elmer was the son of Max and Alta (Pollard) Bogue.

He was a graduate of Burlington high school and Burlington Business College. He worked for Vermont Transit Company in Burlington for 43 years.

He was a president of the Underhill Cemetery Association, past master of the Mount Mansfield Lodge #26, past patron of Mary C. Burdick, O.E.S. #6, past master of Essex Center Grange #155, past master of Chittenden County Pomona #1, a member of the Valley of Burlington Scottish Rite 32nd degree and member of the Mistletoe Christmas Club.

He is survived by his wife, three children and three grandchildren and one aunt.

Elmer was this biographers 3rd cousin and I only got to meet him once at my first Pollard family reunion in Aug of 2006 a few short months before he died. I only wish I had met him sooner but alas that was not to be. I 'am' grateful for that one meeting and I cherish the memory of that day.
Thanks to Elmer's wife and daughter for the photo of he & his brother George when they were young!!
