The first child is known from the 1810 census. Was there really two sons with the middle name Franklin?
In 1850 John (a farmer), Elizabeth, Sarah (age 25), Ezra F. (age 23, a schoolteacher) and Andrew (age 21) were living at the Northern Division, Davidson County, North carolina. Their married daughter Mary Beckerdite Rich and her husband, the Methodist Minister John Rich (1815-1851) were living next door. In 1860 John (a farmer), Elizabeth, Franklin (age 35, a school teacher; was this Benjamin or Ezra?), Sarah (age 30), Andrew (age 28) and
the widow Mary Beckerdite Rich were living at the Northern Division, Davidson County, North Carolina.
