Leo J. Devane, 68, a retired printer, died at his home, 2 Admiral St., Colonie. He had been employed by the New York Daily News for 43 years prior to retirement in 1967. He was a member of New York Typographical Union No. 6 and was a shop foreman at the time at his retirement. Survivors include his wife, the former Rose Vadney; two brothers, Water Commissioner William F. Devane of Albany and Albany Police Captain Francis Devane. He is also survived by one grandson.
