GEORGE D BAGBY, 82, DIES AT OAK GROVE

George Daniel Bagby, 82 last January, died yesterday afternoon at 4:30 at the home of his son, M. B. Bagby, at Oak Grove from a heart attack. He had been ill for the last two months.
Mr. Bagby was born in Virginia but spent most of his life in this county, operating a farm for years until his health prevented. He was a member of the Buffalo Baptist Church, and took an active part in church affairts.
He is survived by two sons, M.B. Bagby of Oak Grove; Edgar Bagby, Cerulean; three daugthers, Mrs. G.O. Towler, Gracey; Mrs. Hawkins Keach, Evansville, Ind.; and Mrs. C.R. Wood, Pembroke. He leaves two brothers, G.A. Bagby and L.C. Bagby, Oak Grove and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were to be conducted this afternoon, with the Rev. J J Jenkins and the Rev. Reed Rushing expected to be in charge. Burial was to be at the Stewart Cemetery.
