A former Ida Grove man, John Robert Murphy, 43, of Davenport, died Wednesday, Aug. 5, 1981 in Davenport of an apparent heart attack. Services were Monday, Aug. 10, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Ida Grove. The Rev. Harry Dailey officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery under the supervision of Christensen Funeral Home. Survivors include three sons, Bruce and Michael, both of Greenville, KY., and Matthew of Davenport; two daughters, Mrs. Leslie Perry and Sarah, both of Greenville; his parents Mr. and Mrs. Theodore E. Murphy of Ida Grove; a sister Mary A. of Dubuque; three brothers, James of New Orleans, La., Dr. Thomas of Philadelphia, Pa., and Michael of Des Moines; and one grandchild.
