"First minister of Greens Farms Congregational Church. He oversaw the move from the square, hipped roof church building on the Common, at the foot of Morningside Drive, to the larger meetinghouse opposite the "Colonial" Cemetery on Greens Farms Road. It was this meetinghouse that the British burned in 1779. His slate gravestone is in excellent condition and is a classic style of the period."
