William Charles Byers, 81, of Huntsville, Texas passed away on January 5, 2016. He was born on September 23, 1934 in Madisonville, Texas to John Byers and Quida Fannin Byers. Bill graduated from Sam Houston State University with an Accounting Degree. He worked as an accountant for over 25 at TDCJ. He loved quail hunting, and was a member of Quail Unlimited, as well as, the Kiwanis Club. Bill was a member of First United Methodist Church of Huntsville. He will be remembered as an honest, honorable, faithful husband, father and American. Bill is survived by his loving wife, who he married in 1957, Charlene Byers and his son, Brad Byers. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Quida Byers. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM till 2:00 PM on Friday, January 8, 2016 at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 8, 2016 in the chapel at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas.
