ARTHUR -- Ezra J. Plank, 97, of Lovington, IL passed away at 1:45 P.M. on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at the HCK West Building, located one mile south of Arthur, IL. Howard Miller will officiate. Burial will be in the Otto Cemetery in Arthur, IL. Visitation will be held Friday, May 12, 2017 from 1:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. and also on Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 10:30 A.M. to 7:30 P.M. at the HCK West Building. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Ezra was born on December 15, 1919 in rural Arthur, IL. He was the son of John D. and Fannie (Mast) Plank. He married Alma S. Beachy on November 26, 1942 in Arthur, IL. She passed away on December 25, 2008.

He is survived by seven children: Elmer Edward Plank and his wife Martha of Arthur, IL, Elvin Noah Plank and his wife Lisa of Fishers, IN, Wilmer Plank and his wife Lovina of Tuscola, IL, Howard Plank and his wife Mary of Arthur, IL, Catherine Plank of Lovington, IL, Ruth Ann Miller and her husband Richard of Goshen, IN, and Reuben Henry Plank and his wife Clara of Lovington, IL; 29 grandchildren; 75 great-grandchildren; siblings:

Martha married to Walter Gingerich, Henry married to Martha Gingerich, Catherine, Eli married to Cora Horst, Ada married to Ruben Yutzy, all of Arthur, IL, and Edward of Fresno, CA; and a brother-in-law, Wayne Yutzy of Wooster, OH.

He was preceded in death by his wife Alma, parents, John and Fannie

(Mast) Plank, one daughter, Mary, two grandsons, David Miller and Devon Miller, two sisters, Lydia Schrock and Fannie Yutzy, one brother-in-law, Chris Schrock, and one sister-in-law, Elda Plank.

Ezra was a farmer and raised turkeys for many years. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Faith.
