Harry Lavelle Evans, age 64 of Commerce died Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Evans was born in Hattiesburg, MS to the late, Tullie and Ethel Lott Dunn. Mr. Evans was a member of the Commerce Presbyterian Church, retired from the State of Georgia Veterans Services, and was a US Air Force veteran. In addition to his parents, Mr. Evans was also preceded in death by his two brothers, Otis Evans and Gerald Dunn. Mr. Evans is survived by his wife, Katherine Elizabeth Evans of Commerce; daughters, Kelly Madsen (Derek) of Utah, Leslie Koberstein (Anthony) of Wisconsin, and Jessi Morgan (Tommy) of Commerce; brother, Van Dunn (Judy) of Mississippi; sisters, Brenda Bond, Annie Rogers (Mike), and Vicki Harris (Chuck) all of Mississippi; six grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Monday, May 15th of 11:00 AM from Commerce Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jeff Cain officiating and the family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 9-11 AM.
