Daniel Stuber married Caroline Egelhoff in 1856 and Caroline Seabolt on 1 Mar 1858. Either or both of these women could have been his wife. Daniel's will, dated 5 Nov 1890, names his wife, Caroline. Caroline was born ca 1840.

From The Courier-Journal - 15 Sep 1907 -

"Mrs. Caroline Stuber, widow of Daniel Stuber, who was for many years a photographer in Louisville, died of Bright's disease at her home, 1127 Hepburn avenue, last evening. She leaves no children, but is survived by two brothers and a sister. Mrs. Stuber was an aunt of Mrs. Eugene Debs (FAG#15436931) wife of the labor leader and ___ candidate for President on the Union Labor Ticket. Mrs. Debs was at the bedside when the end came.

The funeral will take place at 10 o'clock to-morrow morning and not, as stated, at 10 to-day. The Rev. S. S. Walton will officiate."

From an article, found in The Courier-Journal, dated 18 Sep 1907 -

Caroline leaves $500.00 to Ida Reimers (FAG#91829478) for flowers to be placed on Caroline & her husband's grave. She leaves to Eliza Hackenger (sic), her sister, $1,200 in a trust that she will be paid $10.00 a month. Caroline leaves, in trust, $1,000 for her brother, John J. Seibolt and $800.00, in trust, for her brother, George Seibolt. Each of the following are left 1 city of Louisville bond - Carl, Milton and Edward Reimers; Florence Beckman and her son, Harry; Garrett, Henrietta and Josephine Spruhan, of Chicago; Alpha, Frank Emma and Daniel Seibolt, sons of John J. Seibolt; Alice and John Seibolt.

Caroline leaves $500.00 to Julius Beckman. She leaves $300.00 to Will Miller. Mrs. E. V. Debs, of Terre Haute, IN, is left $500.00 and she leaves $200.00 to Miss Linda Smith.

Mrs Eugene V. Debs was Katherine Metzler, daughter Daniel & Catherine Stuber Metzler.
