She is survived by her two children, her daughter, Kerry Robertson Kerby and husband, Don Kerby of Oklahoma City and son, Kim Williams of Oklahoma City. She had two grandchildren, Kyle Williams and wife, Rachel of Lee Summit, Kansas and Lindsay Mata and husband, Brandon of Moore, Oklahoma; three great-grandchildren, Dawson & Kylie Mata and Kaleb Williams.
In 1938, Harriet graduated from Classen High School, attended Stephens College for Women in Missouri and then Oklahoma State University. She was a proud member of Chi Omega Sorority, which was a cherished legacy she passed to her daughter, Kerry. Harriet's degree was in Elementary Education and she taught for over 27 years in Oklahoma City and Paris, Texas. In her latter years, Harriet lived in Lakeview Towers. She then became a resident of Town Village Retirement Center. She was a member of the 'Red Hat Society' and loved dressing up in her red hat and purple feather boa.
A Celebration of Harriet's Life was held on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 in the Chapel of the Cross at Church of the Servant, 14343 N. MacArthur Blvd., Oklahoma City.
