Weed, Daniel Ray 90, went home to be with our Lord and Savior January 5, 2013. A native Arizonan, Dan was born July 18, 1922 in Weedville. He was a veteran of WWII. He worked for the United States Chamber of Commerce then became a successful real estate broker and land developer in the greater Phoenix area and throughout the states of Arizona and Utah for over 30 years. Dan also helped develop Deer Valley Airport and was the airport's first manager. He is survived by his loving wife Mary Jane, son Dan (Sandy) Weed Jr, daughter Betsy (Merle) Meland, two grandchildren, four great grandchildren and extended family. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 19th, 10:00 am at the 'Old Paths' cemetery, 73rd Ave two blocks north of Thunderbird Rd. Peoria, AZ.
