Jayne B. Moore, 92, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of May 9, 2017 at The Grove at New Wilmington.

Born January 15, 1925 in New Castle, she was the daughter of Kenneth W. Brennaman and Marie Rice Brennaman McCreary and step-daughter of L. Everett McCreary.

Jayne was preceded in death on March 26, 1997 by her husband of 51 years, Wallace R.T. Moore, whom she married on February 7, 1946.

A 1942 graduate of New Castle High School, she was a homemaker until her employment with the former First Seneca Bank. Jayne worked as a loan clerk for 13 years until her retirement in 1978.

She was the charter member of the Sweet Adelines and also enjoyed bowling and reading.

A member of Third Presbyterian Church, she sang in the church choir for 45 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Ruth Ann (Bob) Sholler of New Castle; a son, Donald (Janet) Moore of Lewis Center, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, her step-father, and her husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Lois M. Hooks, and two brothers, Kenneth W. Brennaman, Jr. and Donald C. Brennaman.

Burial will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
