Dorothy Margaret Andersen Poulsen passed away April 12, 2017 at the age of 91. She was born July 6, 1925 in Brigham City Utah to James Earl Andersen and Bertha Josephine Bladh.

Dorothy is the beloved wife of J. Donald Poulsen and mother of 4 children. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served as Relief Society President and Primary Secretary. She and Don served 25 years as sealers in the Jordan River Temple. Dorothy is one of the most kind, compassionate, and loving daughters of her Father in Heaven and we are blessed to call her wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Don loved his eternal companion whom he affectionately called “Short”. They were happily married for 66 years. Her testimony and love for her Savior are an inspiration to all she knew.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, daughters, Penny (Allen) Watson, Patsy Halladay, Emily (Brady) Bartholomew and Sharon Poulsen, sisters Donna Prisbey and Ellen Bradford, brother Earl (Janet) Andersen, 16 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Earl and Josephine Andersen, beloved stepmother Hazel Burt Andersen, and her precious son James Donald (JD) Poulsen.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 S.) in Sandy with a visitation from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. Interment to follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
