BUHL — V. Earl Woodruff, 74, of Buhl, died Friday, Dec. 1, 1995, at his home.

He was born Sept, 9, 1921, in Buhl, the son, of William and Iva Wolfinbarger Woodruff. He was the fifth child in a family of six children. His parents came to Idaho in a covered wagon from Cheney, Wash. in 1913, and homesteaded in the Deep Creek area. He graduated from Buhl High School in 1939. He married Nadine Messley on Aug. 9, 1941, in Buhl. He was a farmer and dairyman in the Magic Valley area and had lived on his present farm for 31 years.

He was active in 4-H for many years. He was a member of the First Christian Church and the Lucerne Grange. The love of his family, farming and animals will be among our cherished memories.

He is survived, by his wife, Nadine of Buhl; son Dennis and Carolyn Woodruff of Kuna; daughters, Aletha and Nick Day of Idaho Falls and Anita and Tom Svancara of Buhl; sisters, Lenore Merrill and Jewell Baughman, both of Oregon and Goldie Goff of Buhl; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, 1995, at the First Christian Church in Buhl. Burial will follow at the West End Cemetery in Buhl. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Farmer Funeral Chapel in Buhl. The family will receive friends from 8 to 8 p.m. today.

Memorials are suggested to Glycogen Storage Foundation, research of a genetic liver disease inherited by a great-grandson.
