He was born on August 17, 1939 in Calumet to Carlos and Martha (Kipina) Bessolo.
He attended Calumet High School and graduated with the Class of 1958.
In his early years, Carlos worked for Calumet & Hecla Mining Company. After working for the mines, Carlos enlisted with the United States Navy, retiring after 22 years in the service in 1986. He then worked for several years at Calumet Electronics.
Carlos enjoyed having coffee and breakfast with his friends at Lindell's Restaurant and loved spending time with his family when they went on vacations.
On August 28, 1978 he married Carol Gimnig in Mount Clemens, Michigan.
He was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Church, Knights of Columbus Council #1245 in Calumet, and American Legion Post #230 in Mohawk.
He is preceded in death by; his parents, Carlos and Martha; Son, Charlie; 2 brother-in-laws Ronald Osmialowski and Daryll Schroeder; great nephew, baby Cristopher Osmialowski, and; great niece, Larissa (Lacey) Bendrat.
He is survived by:

The Funeral Mass for Carlos will be held on Thursday December 1, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Calumet with Father Abraham Mupparathara to officiate. A luncheon will follow the mass at the St. Paul the Apostle Church, Father Wayne Marcotte Hall. Friends may call at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet on Wednesday November 30, 2016 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, a parish prayer vigil will be held at 7:30 pm.
Burial will be held in the spring at Lake View Cemetery.
