JC Elliott was born on a farm near Snyder, Oklahoma, and was the youngest child of J.K and Hattie Elliott. He graduated from the University Of Oklahoma in 1930 with a degree in Finance from the School of Business and was a member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. JC worked as an auditor in the income tax division of the Oklahoma Tax Commission. In 1947 he established his own accounting practice which he operated until he retired in 1990. He was married to Edith Messenbaugh from 1931 until her death in 1976 and was preceded in death by his son James Elliott and his grandson Larry Benson.

JC is survived by his daughters Annette Jones of Dallas, and Laura Benton of Oklahoma City and her husband Les Benton. He is also survived by one grandson Kenneth Benton and five granddaughters, Melinda Jones Lewis, Deanna Jones Malan, Martha Elliott Schwalm, Marie Elliott Burks, and Cecily Elliott, and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services: Rose Hill Cemetery, Monday, February 12th.
