Mrs. Chambers died Feb. 9, 2007, in a local hospital.
She was born May 10, 1915, in Corsicana to the late Phyneas and Tennie Alexander Battles. She worked for Carmike Cinemas for 20 years, and was a member of Union Road Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Otis Chambers in 1954, and nine brothers and sisters.
Survivors include daughter, Annette Teer, Lufkin; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers are Kevin Runnels, Tommy Gordon, Wayne Rushing, Johnny Sewell, Shane Gordon and David Tucker.
Honorary pallbearers are Melvin Britain and Robert Battles.
