She grew up in Lincoln and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1979.
She was united in marriage to Troy Chockley on May 5, 1980 in Rolla, MO. Following their marriage, they made their home in Lewistown, Illinois where Cheri received an Associate Degree in accounting from Spoonriver College in Canton, IL. In 1985, they moved to Lawrence, KS where she worked for Lawrence Memorial Hospital in charge of ER admissions. In 1992, they moved to Jefferson City, Missouri where Cheri continued her education, graduating from Lincoln University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. She worked as financial aid advisor for Linn Tech for three years and then began working at Metro Business College as Campus Director where she continued working as long as her health permitted.
Cheri and Troy were blessed with two children, Randolph Lee and Christina Anne.
Cheri joined the Lincoln United Methodist Church in Lincoln, MO, as a young girl and still continued her membership there. She attended Quinn Chapel in Jefferson City, MO. She was a member of Phi Beta Lamba Sorority. Cheri was devoted to her family and to her career. She enjoyed all the friendships she had made over the years with many co-workers.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lee Gardner and her dear cousin, Debbie Harris.
Cheri is survived by her husband, Troy, of the home, son, Randolph Lee Chockley and wife, Meghan, of Holt Summit, MO, a daughter, Christina Anne Neil, and husband, Jayson, of Overland Park, KS, two grandchildren, Alyssa Anne and Xavier Andreau Neil, also of Overland Park, her mother, Lora Gardner of Lincoln, MO, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Popular Baptist Church near Warsaw, MO, with Rev. Van Mellen officiating and assisted by Truman Yoder and Charles Rose.
Burial will be in the Lincoln Cemetery, Lincoln, MO. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. at the Davis-Miller Funeral Home, 119 W. Main Street, Lincoln, MO. Memorials may be made to the Lincoln United Methodist Church in care of the Davis-Miller Funeral Home, P.O. Box 400, Lincoln, MO. 65355.
