Myrtle C. Tucker, daughter of the late Vader Wilfong and Hazel Wilburn Wilfong, was born on Aug. 19, 1918, in Leora and died at the Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010, at the age of 91.

Mrs. Tucker was a member of the First Nazarene Church in Dexter, former employee of Swift Company in Dexter, and a resident of Dexter.

On April 24, 1943 she was united in marriage to Charles W. Tucker in Dexter. Mr. Tucker died on Nov. 4, 1980.

Survivors include one brother, Rex Wilfong of Denver, Colo.; and one sister, Mildred Whitledge of St. Louis; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, John D. Wilfong, Ward Wilfong, Martin Wilfong, and Ray Wilfong; also one sister, Gertrude Mayross.

Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010, at 10 a.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Roger Wooten officiating.

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
