Glynanne Bruton McClure
(1939 - 2017)
Glynanne Bruton McClure, lovingly known as "Pussycat", went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 2, 2017. She passed away peacefully with her children and family by her side. Born on February 2, 1939 in Dallas, Texas as the daughter of Dick and Wilhelmina Bruton, she lived her entire adult life in Dallas and was a true servant of our Lord Jesus Christ. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother whose first thought was always of her family and their welfare. Glynanne was a committed prayer warrior, mentor to many including her family, friends and her church. She was a beloved member of Lakepointe Church and served faithfully. Glynanne was dearly loved by many and her friends are countless and all considered her "family". Those who knew her, knew her as a strong, yet quiet princess warrior of the King. She cared for many and gave deeply of herself. She was a beautiful angel and our family rock. Glynanne was preceded in death by her parents Dick and Wilhelmina Bruton, her sister Donna Maxine Bruton-Ellsworth and her beloved daughter Lyndy "Pie" Michelle McClure. Glynanne is survived by her husband, William McClure, her daughter Chrysty Sturdivant and husband Ray Sturdivant, her daughter Cherry Brady and her son Randy McClure and wife Kristen McClure. Her grandchildren include Casey and Stacy Graves, children Blain and Faith; Colby and Jessica Graves, children Gracie, Adyson, Rylynn; Courtney and Dwayne King, children Colsen and Callie; Chris and Ashley Brady and their child Alice; Chelsea Brady, children Molly Kate and Michaela; Sheriden and Lane Carter; Katie McClure, children Kinley and Jackson; and Parker McClure. She was also survived by her nieces Aimee and Russell Ogden, children Joshua, Jack, John and Hunter; Ross and Misty Bennett, children Maddison, Ashton and Carson. Glynanne especially loved to celebrate the holidays with her family. Her favorite of all holidays was Christmas with the tradition of singing happy birthday to Jesus with a birthday cake and with her family at her feet. She will always be remembered for her unfailing devotion to her family and friends, her generous Christian spirit, her gifts of teaching and mentoring, her devotion to the word and Jesus Christ. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be Thursday, May 4, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M., and Funeral Services will be Friday, May 5, 2017 at 10:00 A.M., and will be followed by Interment at Grove Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Glynanne's honor are requested to be made to www.PoiemaFoundation.org , an organization dedicated to raising awareness of and preventing sexual abuse and sex trafficking.
