Bill was the son of John and Nellie (Hatfield) Orr. He graduated from Boone High School in 1945 and served in the US Navy during World War II. He married Lea Olson on September 6, 1952. Survivors include his wife, his daughters, Kim McCoy and Jill Beverlin, four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Jeanette, Ted, Russell, Harold, and Dick, and his grandson, Josh Beverlin.
