Mr. Fretty was born March 15, 1909, in rural Paxton, the son of Rasmus and Helen Anderson Fretty. He married Claribel Miller Sept. 2, 1922, in Bloomington. She survives.
Also surviving are two sisters, Florence Hileman, Paxton, and Darleen Bartelson, McHenry.
Three brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
He was a graduate of Brown's Business College, Bloomington. He had been employed by Williams Oil-O-Matic Company, now the Eureka Company, and later was self-employed as an accountant in Bloomington-Normal.
