Norton Shores Orrin Harold Bailey, (Husband of Lorna) age 85, passed away on September 21, 2014. Orrin was born on April 27, 1929 to Earl and Mary Mildred (Masser) Bailey. In 1950 he found work at Canteen Service Company. He worked for 42 years with the company, with the majority of his career as the district manager before his retirement in the early 1990's.
He married the former Lorna Curtis in 1950 and they were blessed with 64 years of marriage, and one daughter, Laura. He was a board member at Muskegon Rescue Mission, member of Christian Businessmen's Committee and several other organizations. Orrin was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and former member of Orchard View Congregational Church. He was a hardworking, loving, generous man of God who will be deeply missed.
Orrin is survived by his wife, Lorna; daughter, Laura (Darwin) Lohman; granddaughter, Sarah (Christopher) Kirby and their two children, Brianna and Mia; granddaughter, Amanda (Patrick) Stegeman and their two children, Alexis and Jaxson; sister, Eileen Schneider; and brother, Derwin Bailey. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Frank, Howard and Kenneth.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held on Monday, September 29, 2014 at 11AM at Trinity Baptist Church 4381 S. Sheridan Dr. VISITATION will be held on Sunday from 6:30-8:30 P.M. at THE LEE CHAPEL 6291 S Harvey Street and also at church one hour prior to the start of the service. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS can be made to Trinity Baptist Church.
