Mrs. Evelyn Hefner Sisk, 92, died Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Helms Gordon Assisted Living in Fort Lawn, SC. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 1, 2017 at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Bayliss Adimaro and Rev. Kenneth “Skeet” Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Chester Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM on Monday, May 1, 2017 at Barron Funeral Home and other times at the home of Sisco.

Born June 17, 1924 in Habersham County, GA, Mrs. Sisk is a daughter of the late William Newton Hefner and Anna Cummingham Hefner and the widow of Thurman W. Sisk, Sr. She was a graduate of Habersham County, GA Schools and retired from Springs Industries. Mrs. Sisk attended the Chester First Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by one son, Thurman W. Sisk, Jr. (Dianne) of Chester, SC; two grandsons, Dusty Sisk (Jean Ann) of Chester, SC and Bert Bickett (Leigh Ann) of Chester, SC; three great grandsons, Dustin Sisk of Charleston,SC, Evan Sisk and Lane Bickett, both of Chester, SC; one sister Ruth Lee of Greenwood, SC. Mrs. Sisk along with her sister, Ruth, were the only survivors of a family of eleven. She was preceded in death by her daughter Pamela S. Bickett; and a grandson, Tony Sisk.
