Robert A. Rambone, Sr., (76), passed away at home Monday, April 24, 2017 after a six year battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Patricia A. (Moniz) Rambone. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Andrew and Loretta (Grover) Rambone. Mr. Rambone was a heavy machine operator for the R.I. Solid Waste Management for over 20 years before retiring in 2004. He lived in Glocester for over 41 years and was a lifetime member of the N.E. Ox Teamsters Association. In addition to his wife of 54 years, he was the loving father of Theresa O'Connors (Kevin) of Glocester, Susan O'Rourke (Coley) of Burrillville, Robert Rambone, Jr. (Jodi) of Glocester and David Rambone (Jennifer) of Cranston. He was the brother of Richard, Joseph, Edward and the late William Rambone. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Rebecca Ryan, Matthew O'Connors, Ashley, Sarah, Nicholas and Jacob Rambone, Megan, Jaylinn and James O'Rourke, Emily Simas and Tayla Rambone; and his great-grandchildren, Matthew O'Connors and Mackenzie Ryan.
His funeral was held Friday, April 28, 2017 in the Tucker-Quinn Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Pike (Rt.44) Greenville. Burial followed in Acotes Hill Cemetery, Chepachet.
