Della C. (Gschwind) Garner passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2003, after a strong fight with gastronomic cancer. She was 76.

She was born on December 5, 1926, went to Sacred Heart grade school, and was an alumnus of Notre Dame Academy, Class of '44. A loving mother and grandmother, she was an avid lover of cats, owls, bird-watching, and Pink Floyd's "Dark side of the Moon" album.

Della was preceded in death by her husband, Murray S.; daughter, Ena Warns; son-in-law, Glenn Warns and grandson, Mark Warns. Surviving are Walter Nesteruk, her long-loving friend and companion of 30 years; sons, Murray J. (Catherine Fox), Lyle P. (Dianne), Dell M. (Patricia) Garner; brother, Vincent Gschwind; sister, Gert Knoll; 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum of Ottawa Hills Memorial Park where the family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. "We all love you and you will be sadily missed! Rest in eternal peace." Your loving family.
