Elda M Burd, 66, Marion, North Dakota and Mesa, Arizona, died Tuesday, January 4, 1995, in Mesa hospital.
The funeral was Monday, January 9, at Marion Lutheran Church with Rev. Tom Faaland officiating. interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery near Marion.
Elda Marie Spoerl was born at Marion September 9, 1928, the daughter of Arthur F. and Mildred (Berg) Spoerl. She grew up and graduated from Marion High School.
She married Richard Burd of Valley City March 29, 1947. The couple had previously made their home in Valley City, Minot, Pewaukee, Superior and Waukesha, Wisconsin before retiring to Arizona.
Mrs Burd is survived by her husband, Richard; three sons, Keith (Livvy), Baltimore, MD; Rick, New York City, NY; Steven (Chris), Alamo, CA; a brother, Jim Spoerl, Des Moines, IA; and three grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were by Peterson-Johnson-Schuldt Funeral Home.
