Albert W. Ankney, 84, of 4485 Monroe St., died yesterday en route to Maumee Valley Hospital.
Mr. Ankney, a veteran of the Spanish-American War, was born in Paulding, O., and lived in Toledo 38 years.
He was a retired lumber yard employee.
Surviving are his wife, Fanny, daughters, Mrs. Lucille Burnette, Mrs. Annabelle Mellinger, Mrs. Reva Rogacki, and Mrs. Doloris Bensch, all of Toledo, and Mrs. Marjorie Kulwicki, Temperance, Mich.; sons, Albert W. Jr., Floyd, and Lowell, all of Toledo, and Ronald, New Egypt, N.J., nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Services will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Sujkowski Mortuary by the Lucas County Burial Corps. Burial will be Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
