THOMAS VERNON HENDERSHOT

Mr. Thomas Vernon Hendershot, age 65, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Thursday, April 27, 2017, in Texarkana, Texas.
He was born September, 14, 1951, in Saginaw, Michigan. He was a truck driver for Jack B. Kelly Trucking Company. He loved fishing, cooking, and watching deer off of his deck.
Mr. Hendershot was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Carse Hendershot, and one sister, Karen Sue Hendershot.
He is survived by his wife, Becky Lewis Hendershot; one son and daughter-in-law, Chancy and Onna Hendershot of Dallas, Texas; three grandchildren, Beau Hendershot, Dalton Hendershot, and Xander Hendershot; and one brother-in-law, Lawrence Lewis of De Queen.
There is no service scheduled at this time.

*I knew tom when we were both young. He had an engaging smile and more wit than anyone. He always seemed to enjoy life even when out on the edge. I had no idea that he had passed until another friend of both of us told me today. I always saw him as the life of the party and always interesting to be around.

*Becky, my thoughts and prays are with you and the family. Tom and I had several long talks when he found out that I was sick. He came by the store a few times to check on me and give me a pep talk. He was a thoughtful person and I know that a loss of a loved one is hard to bear, but God only sends what we can withstand.
