"Mrs. Rebeccah Sheriff, mother of Aden Sheriff died in a Tilden hospital Sunday and the funeral services will be held at the home 1101 South Fourth street, Tuesday afternoon at 2:30. Cancer of the liver and a tumor were the cause of death. Mrs. Sheriff was a nurse in the union army during the civil war. She was 72 years old and came to Norfolk with her son three years ago. Her husband, who also lives with his son, survives her. Aden Sheriff is the only child. The family came to Norfolk from Cedar Rapids, Ia."
