J. V. "Jake" Justice, 91, of Beaumont, Texas passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Summer Place. Jake was born January 18, 1926, in Spurger, Texas to Ethrel Edgar Justice and Jessie Jordan Justice. He was a member of West End Baptist Church in Beaumont, and he retired as a process operator from Texaco Chemical in Port Neches after many years of service. Jake was a 60-year member of Groves Masonic Lodge #1315. He was an avid fisherman, talented musician, and loved to coach football from his couch. Jake proudly served in the U.S. Merchant Marine/Coast Guard during World War II, after he returned, he graduated from Port Neches High School in 1948. Jake was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Young Justice. Survivors include his wife, 3 daughters, 3 sons, 2 sisters, 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; and his Yorkie Missy. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 28, 2017, at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches with Reverend Big Jim Salles officiating under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. A Memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 29, 2017, at West End Baptist Church, 8180 Phelan Blvd., Beaumont, Texas. Pallbearers will be his nephews.
