Mrs. Irene Gray
Funeral for Mrs. Irene Gray, 507 NW 22nd Ave., will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hennessey, Goetsch & McGee. Interment will be in Riverview Abbey.
Mrs. Gray died Sunday at her home. She was born Nov. 12 [sic], 1889, on Sauvie Island. She was a descendant of a pioneer Sauvie Island family. Her great grandparents, Joseph and Margaret Charleton [sic], settled on a federal donation land claim in 1844. Her grandmother, Dr. Callie B. Charlton, was one of the first woman physicians in Oregon.
Mrs. Gray was a member of Nydia Temple, Daughters of the Nile. The funeral will be under the auspices of Kellogg Chapter No. 156, OSE [sic] [Order of Eastern Star].
She is survived by the widower, Stanley.
