He was first married to Audrey Ann Cavitt, and later to Anna Lucille Stubblefield, who preceded him in death on May 27, 2015.
Charles was a farmer, rancher, and dairyman; and worked several years at General Dynamics. He was a lifelong resident of Comanche and Erath counties.
Charles is survived by his daughters, Charlene Chambers and husband David Ramos of Granbury, and Deedee Chambers and husband Camon Martin of Comanche; sons, Gene and wife Sandra Chambers of Lingleville, and Mark and wife Paula Bailey of Azle; grandchildren, John David Ramos, Jeremy Ramos, Emily McNew, Chet Allen Chambers, Quenton Chambers, and Ty Bailey; and eleven great grandchildren; brother, John Wooten; and sister, Linda Marovich; and cousin, Glenn Wooten.
