Evonne A. Wiener, 88, of Sioux City passed away Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2006, at Sunrise Retirement Community.
Services will be 10 a.m. Sunday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, with the Revs. Jim and Diane Nelson officiating. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Evonne was born Oct. 18, 1917, in Mapleton, Iowa, the daughter of Herbert and Olive (Nourse) Lacey. She married Jean Larson in 1941. He preceded her in death in 1973. She married Marvin Wiener. He preceded her in death in 2002. She worked as a sales clerk for Sears Department Store and was a homemaker.
She belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star and was a past Matron. She also belonged to Morningside Lutheran Church. She was an avid collector of butterflies.
Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Ricenbaw of Denver, Colo., Saundra Larson of Sioux City and Gayle and her husband, Jim Mamer of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; five grandchildren, Lezli Triplett of Denver, Colo., Korey (Rick) Ricenbaw of Denver, Jeana Mamer of Van Nuys, Calif., Jaimee Mamer of Cleveland, Ohio, and Justine Mamer of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; three great-grandchildren, Brandi Duffy of Denver, Dannielle Coch of Denver and A.J. Triplett of Denver.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Marvin Wiener and Jean Larson; and a daughter, Suzanne.
