Minnie (Wilhelmina) had been having a rough go of it with her tuberculosis for many years. The trip across the ocean, and this new climate took their toll on her now. She grew worse, and to her bitter disappointment, she died a month after they arrived in Utah on the 26th of September, 1890. It was a crushing experience to lay their 5th child to rest.
