W. ADRIAN COURTAD

W. Adrian Courtad, 83, Route 1, Upper Sandusky, died Saturday morning in the Wyandot County Nursing Home.

He was born in Wyandot County on May 30, 1900, to August and Emmaline (Von Blon) Courtad. On July 18, 1921, he married Ruth Fernbaugh in Wyandot County. She died May 29, 1977.

Surviving are four children, James, Merle, Mrs. Norman (Ruth Arelen) Folk and Mrs. Bob (Marilyn) Spitler, all of Upper Sandusky; 14 grandchildren; 21 greata-grandchildren; and four sisters, Bernice Swinehart, Hilda Hetzel, Gladys Brown, all of Upper Sandusky; and Mrs. Arthur (Bessie) Burks, Shelby. One grandchild, two brothers and two sisters are deceased.

A retired farmer, Mr. Courtad was a lifetime elder in the Rock Run Church of God, where he was also Sunday school superintendent. He was a member of Gideons International, and a former member of the Farm Bureau.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Bringman & Co. Funeral Home, the Rev. Norman Folk officiating. Burial will be in Old Mission Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home until 5 this afternoon and from 7-9 this evening. Memorials may be made to Rock Run Church of God or a chartity of the donor's choice.
