Sharon Lee McDowell-Foster passed away peacefully at home with her loved ones by her side after a five-year struggle with her health.

She was born in Virginia City, Montana to Fay L. and Darline L. (Peel) McDowell. She was raised in Helena and attended Helena High School. In 1961 Sharon married Don Coburn. They later divorced. On November 26, 1986 she married the love of her life, Keith Foster. She had a wide variety of interests including genealogy, photography, camping, horseback riding, and water skiing. While living in Seattle in the late 1960’s, she owned and operated a publishing business. More recently she operated a desktop publishing business in her home for several years.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Fay L. and Darline L. McDowell, and, brother-in-law, Tom Cawley. She is survived by her husband Keith Foster, son Louis (Tami) Coburn; daughter Colleen Coburn; step-son Shawn Foster; sister Wanda Cawley; brother Tim (Sandy) McDowell; nephew Sean Cawley; nieces Jenna (Jake) Eby; and, Crystal Astle. She is also survived by four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two great nieces; three great nephews; and several Aunts and cousins in Montana, Idaho, Washington and Oregon.
