Taylor, Texas, Oct. 12. -- Mrs. A. Morgan, an elderly woman who resides between Beaukish and Gano, about six miles from here, was burned to death yesterday afternoon. Mrs. Morgan had gone into the kitchen to make coffee. A can of oil which someone has used in starting a fire was sitting on the table. Thinking the can was filled with water, Mrs. Morgan used it in the coffee pot. When the pot boiled over and exploded the oil was ignited and covered her clothing. Funeral was held today at Pleasant Retreat church. The Cameron Herald Cameron, Texas Thursday, October 13, 1921
