Calvin Donald Mauk, 82, of Surgoinsville, went to join his wife in their Heavenly home on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Wellmont Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Surgoinsville. Calvin was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the U. S. Army. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ava Mauk; sister, Beulah Grace Minor; brothers, George Elbert Mauk, J. L. Mauk, Charles Mauk, Holly Mauk.
He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Manis and husband Tommy, Lynette Moore; son, Lance Mauk; grandchildren, Ashley Garretson, Brittany Moore, Emily Manis, Sylvia Mauk, and Calvin Mauk; great-grandchildren, Kylie, Parker, Gracie; sister, Betty Jo Rutledge; brother, Ronald Mauk and wife Ada; sister-in-law, Mildred Mauk; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Christian-Sells Funeral Home in Rogersville.
Funeral services will follow with Preacher Bob Underwood and Rev. Tommy Manis officiating.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at Hawkins County Memorial Gardens.
